The Universal Mask's team is comprised of three graduates and old friends from Stanford University who want to make a difference in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic. We are committed to operating with integrity to provide the highest quality products to help protect our community.
Two of us obtained our medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine, UCLA, a top 10 medical school. One trained in general surgery at Temple University Hospital, while the other trained in ophthalmology at the prestigious Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia. Both are full-time practicing surgeons in the Los Angeles area. The third is a pediatric infectious disease specialist practicing in Virginia, who helped source the material currently used to make our masks. Her sister is a genetic counselor in the Bay Area, California, who has been vital to The Universal Mask's team in helping with tech support and customer service.
Our masks are modeled after the medical masks we wear routinely for surgical procedures, preceding the need for universal masking, with the added benefit of being reusable. We owe much thanks and gratitude to the many friends and family members who have helped us along our journey. We hope that our experience can help you find the protection you need for your family and friends as we all journey as a nation through these difficult times.
